We believe that psychic ability is common to all humans to some degree. There are individuals who have great skills which they use daily to enhance their lives and the lives of others, and there are individuals who allow their psychic abilities to lie dormant and ignored.

In our opinion, psychic awareness constitutes the higher level of self that most people are willing to acknowledge. It might manifest in greater sensory ability, or even the ability to impact one's environment via focused intention; we are all capable of both.

It is not the purpose of this Website to differentiate between various manifestations of psychic ability. This kind of separation is not entirely productive.

However we have listed some of the more common interpretations of psychic phenomena below. Consider this no more than a casual reference.

ESP - Extrasensory Power

ESP is the most common term in any psychic glossary. Nearly everyone knows what you are talking about when you mention this one.

Often people refer to ESP as "the sixth sense" and that angle definitely has its place. Being able to know things without having seen them or been told about them does qualify as an additional sense beyond our standard five.

There have been numerous studies and experiments done on ESP, many of which have conclusively demonstrated the existence of this ability. But the truth is we don't need lab test to confirm ESP because we all have it and experience it within our daily lives if we take the time to be aware of it.

A great synonym for ESP is intuition, which is defined as "instinctive and unconscious knowing without deduction or reasoning." It is our belief that intuition is indeed the sixth sense that, for whatever reason, is not taught along with sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch in kindergarten settings.

Of course the truth is breaking human sensory down into five or six perceptive functions is a little primitive. But it's fair to say we have to start somewhere and it would be a great step to begin educating our children on the reality of intuition at an early age.

Intuition is the basis for many of the abilities described below. Again we do not strongly endorse all this categorization and we are providing these separate illustrations only as a reference.

Precognition

This term refers specifically to the ability to perceive and predict events which have not yet happened. Precognition is essentially the ability to "see" into the future.

Telepathy

Telepathic ability allows one to communicate at the level of thought. This could mean sensing the specific thoughts of another, projecting one's thoughts into the minds of other people, or both.

Empathy

Empathy and telepathy can be interchangeable terms, but usually the former refers only to a perceptive ability and one of a lesser degree. Usually empathy is said to be the ability to sense specific emotional states in other people without any logical basis; i.e. knowing someone is sad even when they are acting cheerful, etc.

Most people can relate to empathy, and many would argue there is nothing psychic about this type of awareness, which is exactly in line with the point of this Website!

Our intention is to expose psychic ability as a common (but wonderful!) part of normal human brain/mind functions.

Telekinesis

Telekinesis, or psychokinesis, is the ability to impact and manipulate physical reality with thought alone. There have been a large number of studies confirming this ability in many people.

On the extreme end there is the rarely demonstrated ability to move objects with the mind. But at the other end of the spectrum is a power we all have, which is the liberty to affect our own health and even the health of others through focused intention.

With the discovery of separate peptides being produced by the hypothalamus in response to every human emotion, we now understand that emotions have not only a mental aspect but an undeniably physical presence as well. Conclusive evidence shows the impact of emotions perceived as either positive or negative on an individual's health, thus proving we can have a direct impact on matter with thought alone.

Additionally, study after study has revealed the productive effects of prayer on medical patients. Still other research has demonstrated how meditation and focused intention has led to improved plant growth, accelerated healing in test subjects who were the targets of positive projection and meditation, and even lowered crime rates in the areas where the participants focused their intentions!

Clairvoyance

Clairvoyance, or remote viewing, refers to the ability to see clearly places and events that are not within range of one's visual perception. This is often called seeing with "the mind's eye", and there have been numerous Air Force studies on the viability of remote viewing in which subject have successfully "seen" into closed containers and even viewed rooms and people several miles from their position at the test site!

Clairaudience

Clairaudience is the ability to receive audio information beyond the normal range of physical hearing. Individuals with this talent can often hear conversations and other sounds either from future events or from locations far removed from their position at the time of the experience.
